Small Home Means Less Storage - You Need A Storabin

Small homes have many benefits. Less maintenance, easier to repair, easier to clean, and with a lower mortgage payment it makes more sense to own a 2 bed 1 bath than it does to rent. It goes without saying that a smaller home just “works” for some people. The downside? Sooner or later you’re going to run out of storage space. That spare guest room, cramped attic space, or backyard shed just aren’t are NOT designed or purposeful to store all your stuff.

PLAN A

You pull the attic door down. Unravel the ladder, climb halfway up, turn around to lift a cardboard box full of who knows what weighing waaay too much what you remember is in there. You somehow maintain your balance as you attempt the climb up the ladder only to find out the box is just too wide for the attic opening. No mater how you try to force the box it just wont fit. You make your way to the bottom of the ladder, flip it back into position and push the door into place. Floor covered in dust and grime that fell through from the attic in the process. You grab the box and open the guest room but the door doesn’t open all the way. Why? because the room is crammed already between the guest bed, office supplies, random boxes with “stuff” too important to throw out but not important enough to place anywhere else. You scan the room for a designated “space” and try to squeeze it behind the door- making it unseen to guests who come over but its still your way. Plan C

You slip on some shoes, grab the shed key and unlock the back door. You manage to open the door, holding onto the box all while making sure none of the pets make a bolt for it. On your way you you slap the door with the heel of your foot hoping you hit it with enough force to close the door all the way. You lug the heavy box across the yard and finally reach your shed. Yes its dirty, no it wont protect your things form the elements but at least it keeps your box out of the way. But wait…. you just realized you still have 3 more boxes to move, and the shed isn’t going to work.
